Construction of the Pezula Nature Retreat commenced in 2003 and was developed by Keith Steward.
The retreat opened in December 2004 and consists of a main building with restaurants, bars, pool and spa, as well as 76 suites and 2 presidential suites.
The retreat also operates the 5 villas (Pezula Private Residence Club share block).
The suites were sold to private owners who retain 30 days annual usage and a share of the revenue.
Hilton operated the retreat under the Conrad brand until 31 May 2018.
On 20 June 2018 Village n Life purchased Pezula Nature Retreat.
